My summer thus far:
I went on a week trip to visit my grandparents on both side, my cousin Emily flew in from Washington, and I also visited my dad's cousin and his family. I have great family! The whole week was good and I did everything I like to do: went to bookstores, read books, had starbucks, ate good food, took naps, went shopping, played games, watched movies....It was a lot of driving but I did it.
I've been baby-sitting full time all summer and boy does it wear me out!!! It's 3-4 days a week, 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM. I dont' have much longer there though since school starts back in a few weeks.
I just came back from a week in TN as a chaperone for the highschoolers at my church. We went to a conference called CIY MOVE (Christ In Youth) and it was good! Got lots of good pictures, got some good conversations in there, etc.
I went to my roomate's wedding Fri night. Well, my ex-roomate, hahaha. She ditched me for a boy! But it's ok. I understand. :-) She looked beautiful and I cried at the wedding because it was so sweet. She is moving 2 hours away to TN.
I took the GACE yesterday morning - Georgia Association of Certified Educators or something like that - which will certify me to be a teacher. I don't know when I'll know if I passed or not.
I moved back home with my parents after renting a house for the past 2 years. It will save me money as I will not have a job this whole upcoming year so I can focus on school and student teaching.
Life is busy and crazy and thankfully the summer has seemed really long!! :-)
