I don't think anybody actually reads this blog, but I think I have to delete it soon. All my blogs that I've ever done for that matter. I know that teachers have high standards and everything we do must be professional, and so I can imagine that a principal and parents would not like me having a public blog. Parents would of course find something to complain about and disagree with me about, or they would just think that I was being to open or something, so I can't keep this up too much longer. :-( I guess I could write some on facebook and I do some, but people don't read those as much. People don't BLOG on there much, they just put random stuff on there.
Today I went to a meeting about job interviews, application tips, etc. for teachers and it was really interesting and helpful! I liked it. I took lots of notes and wish I was to that point NOW instead of a year from now. I know it will be tedious work looking for a job, especially with the job cuts and budget cuts, but I'm ready for it. Or so I think!! :-)
This past weekend I was a chaperone for the middle and high school youth retreat. It was (mostly) good! I didn't get that much sleep due to 25 girls. We watched a movie, sang songs, had lessons, went bowling/arcade/lazer tag, cleaned the church, played games, and more.
I have a math final on Thursday and then I'm done for the semester!! I have 3 weeks of just baby-sitting a little, and then I'll have 7 weeks of baby-sitting full time, 44 hours a week.
Our Kenya Connection Day on April 24th was alright - it rained/was really windy the whole day so we weren't able to have it outside and not many people came. This weekend is my friend Tiffany's wedding! Next weekend is my 22nd birthday! I'm moving back in with my parents soon to save money (and won't be working except random baby-sitting from August til May). Going to see my relatives this summer, and going on the high school youth trip to Tennessee for a week - I went once a few years ago and it was good.
I've got like 20 books I'm hoping to read from now til school starts again in August!! They all look good! I've bought the books over the past year and just haven't had time to read them. I'm also learning Swahili. Mwanamume is man, mwanmke is woman, msichana is girl, and mvulana is boy. It's interesting how they had "mw" and "mv" next to each other and we can't have that in english. Those are just 4 words I know, I know a lot more, I just put those.
